Contained on this page are answers to some common questions regarding our web hosting services. If you do not find the answer to your question here please log in to your Webmanager account and use the customer support form. Otherwise use our contact page to send us an email.
Question: I would like to move my hosting to Webmaster-Pro, will I be able to transfer my current site to your hosting service?
Answer: Yes! As part of the web hosting service we will copy your web site from your current web host and upload it to your new hosting directory on our network when we set up your account. We can also upload a copy of your website from CDRom. Please contact us for more information.
Question: I am signed up to your Personal Service and would like to add php or ASP pages, what do I need to do?
Answer: You will need to upgrade to our Business Service which allows you to have script pages such as PHP as well as ASP & CGI.
Question: I have deleted all the files and folders in my web hosting directory and found I have lost my local copy, do you keep backups of the web sites and if so, can you reinstate my site?
Answer: We back up all web sites on a monthly basis and can restore the last backup of your web site however this is a complimentary service and we make no garuntees as to when backups may occur or the validity of such backups, and in no way replaces the need for you to make regular secure backups of your data!
Question: I would like to track individual pages on my web site to see the type of traffic they are receiving, do you offer tracking as part of your web hosting?
Answer: We use a third party solution provided by Metatraffic that requires the addition of code on each page you wish to track. Please contact us for more information about this service.
Question: How many email addresses can I have?
Answer: On the Personal Service you are allowed up to 5 named email addresses, on the Business Service you are allowed up to 10 named email addresses.
Question: I want to access my email from anywhere, do you offer this service?
Answer: Yes! As well as the option to obtain your mail using POP3 we provide a web-based system that allows you to access your mail from anywhere in the world using a web browser. For more information on using our email service and to log on to your email using your web browser click here.
Question: I need more email addresses, how do I get more?
Answer: In the first instance you will need to contact our sales team and advise them on how many email addresses you require, for every additional 10 email addresses the cost is £20 per year.
Question: What databases can I use?
Answer: You can use Access and MySQL databases in conjunction with our Business Service.
Question: What type of customer support do you offer?
Answer: Contained within the WebManager system is a support page; this delivers your request directly to our support team who will respond within 24 hours of the initial request though normally this is less than 8 hours.
Question: Do you offer other services other than web hosting?
Answer: We provide a number of services which include web hosting, domain name registration, chat room solutions, web site design and scripts or software solutions written to a customers specification.
